Gentle and effective mini loofah for exfoliation of dry lips.
What is a mini loofah?
Money might not grow on trees, but loofahs do! Okay, not quite trees, but loofahs do grow on plants and look a lot like cucumbers or courgettes. In fact, the loofah is actually a member of the gourd family, like a courgette or a pumpkin. They’re often mistaken for sea sponges dues to their appearance and texture, but they are actually entirely plant-based. Once the plant has flowered and grown the loofah, the loofah is harvested and left to dry out. When they’re dry, they are peeled and the seeds are removed, leaving you with a loofah ready to be used for your exfoliation purposes! However, due to their natural material they should be allowed to dry between uses to prevent bacterial growth or premature degradation.
How to use
Submerge the loofah into warm to hot water to soften and relax the natural fibres of the loofah. Pat the loofah onto lips to moisten the skin. Gently exfoliate dry lips to remove dead skin. Rinse the loofah with warm soapy water to clean, shake off excess water and leave to dry. Avoid leaving the mini loofah in a puddle of water to prevent premature degradation and bacteria growth.
