Natural baby skincare products, developed with fragrance free options for sensitive skin

Baby skincare products are an essential part of any new mothers shopping list, whether its to soothe nappy rash or just as an everyday part of taking care of your baby’s delicate skin. However, finding eco-friendly and natural baby skincare products is often easier said than done… At Valley Mist our mother and baby range has been formulated specifically to help solve this problem. Everything in our mother and baby range has been created with your baby’s soft, delicate skin in mind making it safe to use for both mothers and babies.

The Valley Mist Baby Skincare Range

Organic Baby Massage Oils

The Valley Mist Organic Baby Massage Oil comes in two variations: Pure for super sensitive skin (unfragranced), and Soothing (scented with Frankincense and Lavender essential oils at dermal levels safe for babies). These massage oils are formulated using a blend of organic sunflower and organic sesame seed oils making an entirely natural and organic blend of luxurious oils to add to your natural baby skincare routine. Sesame seed oil is one of the most traditional and highly regarded massage oils, having been used in Ayurvedic practices for thousands of years and our cosmetic grade oil has the added benefit of being gentle enough to be safe for babies. Blended with our organic cosmetic grade sunflower seed oil it produces a wonderful massage oil that is both rich and viscous, whilst being simultaneously light so as not to leave the skin overly heavy with oil.

Furthermore, sesame seed oil is thought have high antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, helping to heal and protect the skin from damage, whilst soothing inflammation.

Baby massage is a wonderful practice that can help you to bond with your baby and is said to be beneficial for the health of both mother and baby, if you would like more information on this practice and its benefits, it can be found here.

Soothe Baby Massage Oil

Baby and Nipple Balm

You might have already come across our earlier blog post on the many benefits of Valley Mist’s Baby and Nipple Balm for new mothers as well as babies, but if you haven’t you can find it linked here.

Like the massage oil, the Baby Balm comes in two variations: Pure for extra sensitive skin (with just Calendula and Rosehip Oil), and Soothing (scented with Frankincense and Lavender and baby-safe dermal levels). The Valley Mist Baby Balm is a rich and soothing viscous formula that melts onto the skin as it is applied.

It is formulated using protective calendula and rosehip oils that simultaneously promote healing in order to help soothe chapped or irritated skin, like that caused by nappy rash, eczema, or to soothe sore breastfeeding nipples. The Baby Balm contains no sulfates or parabens making it perfect for baby sensitive skin. One of my own personal favourites from the Valley Mist range, as soon as you feel the luxurious melting texture on your skin, you will never want to turn back – a treat for both mother and baby!

Baby Balm is the perfect multi-use solution to keep in your cupboard for a multitude of scrapes, irritations or even just everyday application to your baby’s skin to keep it soothed and protected.
