This section is where you can find all of the amazing zero waste products that we stock from other brands that have been available in our physical shop in Lancashire for a long time, but until now you haven’t been able to purchase them online. Zero Waste Highlights from the Shop, for your Home
Here at Valley Mist we stock a range for zero waste products for your home, from cleaning products to beautiful plastic-free refill containers. However, one of my personal favourite zero waste products from this section is the laundry egg. The Ecoegg replaces both laundry detergent and fabric conditioner. Containing no petrochemicals, enzymes, chlorine bleaches, phosphates, Parabens, SLS/SLES, microplastics, or palm oil, it is better for both your skin and the environment making it a much greener solution for your laundry. It has even been rated ‘excellent’ for sensitive skin by Dermatest, making it an excellent choice if you have skin that can be easily irritated or aggravated. The Ecoegg works by containing mineral pellets and a tiny amount of detergent that, when combined with water, draws the dirt from your clothes whilst also working to keep them nice and soft. These pellets need replacing roughly every two months, but this depends on your usage of them and whether you have the initial 70 washes Ecoegg or the 50 washes refill pellets. Additionally, the plastic case itself has a 10-year guarantee! On top of all of this, the Ecoegg is also very kind to your pocket, costing only between 10-14p per wash and putting it to the top of my favourites from the shop for your home.

In the health and beauty section we have a range of products for all of your needs, from hair care to menstrual care, but I wanted to draw your attention to this wonderful little invention: the Ecofloss. Many people are aware of the zero waste products available to replace toothpastes, toothbrushes and mouthwashes, but were you aware that there are also zero waste dental flosses? Ecofloss is a biodegradable dental floss that is also vegan friendly, palm oil free, plastic-free, compostable and flavour free, making it a much more environmentally friendly choice for your teeth. As a result you no longer need to worry about choosing between caring for your teeth and caring for the environment.

Of course we can’t forget about our favourite furry friends! We have a selection of products available for dogs on our websites, including shampoos bars and water bottles. However, my favourite product has to be this Doggy Baking Bottle. In this endlessly recyclable and reusable glass bottle you will find all of the ingredients necessary to make a doggy carrot cake! This carrot cake is packed full of beta-carotene and is high in fibre to help contribute towards your dog’s healthy digestion.
