At Valley Mist, we believe what you leave out of a formula matters just as much as what you put in. Every product we make — crafted in small batches in rural Lancashire, England — starts with a simple question: would we be comfortable putting this on our own skin?
Our Clean Formula Standard
Every Valley Mist formula is independently verifiable against ingredient scanning tools. Our products consistently score in the Excellent range — 80–100/100 — when analysed for ingredient safety and transparency.

How We Choose Ingredients
We source natural, plant-derived, and where possible organic and raw ingredients from sustainably produced sources. Each ingredient is chosen for a specific purpose — we don't pad our formulas with fillers.
Our upcycled raspberry seed oil is recovered from the food waste industry, giving a high-performance ingredient a second life rather than sending it to landfill. Small choices like this are part of how we build sustainability into every formula from the ground up.

Our commitment to clean formulas extends to our packaging. Every Valley Mist product ships in plastic-free packaging — because beauty shouldn't cost the planet. Gift boxes are hand-wrapped with natural raffia ribbon, sustainably packaged and ready to gift.

Are Valley Mist products independently verified?
Yes. Every formula can be independently verified using ingredient scanning tools such as INCI Decoder or Think Dirty. Our products consistently score in the Excellent range (80–100/100) for ingredient safety and transparency.
What does 'formulate without' mean?
It means we never include parabens, sulphates, synthetic fragrance, mineral oils, PEGs, formaldehyde releasers, microplastics, or conventional emulsifiers in any of our formulas — regardless of cost or convenience.
Are your ingredients organic?
Where possible, yes. We use organic cocoa butter, organic shea butter, organic rosehip oil, organic mango butter, organic calendula extract, organic sunflower oil, and ethically sourced organic beeswax. We also use upcycled raspberry seed oil — recovered from the food waste industry — as a high-performance, low-impact ingredient.
Are all Valley Mist products vegan?
Most Valley Mist products are vegan-friendly. Our original lip balms and multi award-winning baby skin balms contain ethically sourced organic beeswax and are therefore not vegan. Each product page clearly indicates vegan status.
What does 'Pure' mean in a Valley Mist product name?
Products labelled 'Pure' contain no essential oils or added fragrance. They carry only the natural scent of their raw ingredients, making them ideal for those with fragrance sensitivities or who prefer a completely unscented product.
Is all Valley Mist packaging plastic-free?
Yes. Every Valley Mist product ships in plastic-free packaging. Gift boxes are hand-wrapped with natural raffia ribbon — sustainably packaged and ready to gift, with no plastic in sight.
