If you’ve been following along with our updates on social media and in our journal posts you might already know that this was our first year of entering into any natural beauty awards and we’ve come out the other side with numerous awards and finalists which is wonderful! It’s so good to see so many of you love our products as much as we do and are really seeing the benefits from using them.
What is the Green Parent Magazine?
The Green Parent magazine is the UK’s number one parenting magazine. The magazine focuses on sustainable parenting and offers advice to parents across the UK (both new and old!). From breastfeeding to schooling, the Green Parent magazine is a huge resource that helps parents to discover the natural and sustainable parenting practices that are out there. As a result, we’re honoured that they’ve chosen to recognise Valley Mist with not one, but five awards!
Award-Winning Natural Beauty Products for Mother and Baby
As you might expect from their name, the Green Parent Natural Beauty Awards focus on Skincare suited to parents and their children. Within the Baby and Child category, our Baby Skin Balms took the lead; loved by customers and our team, these balms never fail to please. Our Soothing Skin Balm took the Gold award for Best Baby Lotion/Cream, whilst our Baby Skin Balm with Calendula and Rosehip Oil was named one of the Baby and Child Best Buys. These two products are extremely similar, with the only difference being that the Soothing Skin Balm contains calming Frankincense and Lavender essential oils and the Baby Skin Balm contains no essential oils, making it allergen free. Both products are suitable for both baby and adult skin, and are designed to help soothe dry and irritated skin, including nappy rash and eczema.
Finally, in the mother and baby categories, our Pure Massage Bar won Silver in the Best Massage Oil/Cream for Pregnancy category! As one of our newest products we were thrilled to see this product already growing in popularity. Starting out as a solid bar, the Pure Massage Bar starts to melt upon contact with the skin, transforming into a luxurious massage oil. 100% natural and 99.8% organic the massage bar is made with raw, organic cocoa and shea butters, this bar nourishes the skin at the same time as providing a wonderful relaxing massage.

However, it’s not just our skin balms and massage bars that caught the judges’ attention this year, our micellar waters and facial oils also did extremely well!
Starting off with our micellar waters, we’re thrilled to say that our Neroli & Lavender Micellar Water & Toner for Normal-Dry Skin took home the Bronze Award for Best Toner in the Green Parent Awards! This micellar water & toner smells absolutely wonderful, helping you to relax as you cleanse away the day, so we’re not surprised it was the most loved of our micellars and toners. Nonetheless, it was not the only one to receive some recognition…
Our Herbal Blend Micellar Water & Toner for Combination Skin was also listed as a Skincare Best Buy! With a slightly more uplifting, awakening scent and designed with combination skin mind, this product is another long-time customer favourite. All of our micellar waters and toners can also be used as make-up removers, making them wonderful multi-use products.
