HOW BEST TO USE MY VALLEY MIST LIP BALM ECO TUBE? If you've chosen the large Valley Mist Lip Balm Eco Tube then not only are you investing in your skin's health but the environment too. Kudos to you. Care for the tube is easy, quite simply it's made from recycled paper and pulp so treat the tube with love and don't get it wet. The lining is waxed for lubrication and protection but on those cold days we enjoy in the UK it is probably best rub the tube between your palms a little to warm up the lip balm to ensure a smooth transition of the balm from the tube. To make the lip balm protrude more from the top of the tube, simply push up gently on the card disc at the bottom of the tube. Be careful not to push the lip balm too far out ... the lid does allow for a generous amount to protrude but not too much! If however you were giddy with excitement at receiving your Eco Tube and have already pushed too much out (or you are male and consider instructions for use an unnecessary distraction) don't panic! Simply leave the tube somewhere cool and dry to ensure that the lip balm is nice and firm and then push down on the balm in the opposite direction. This is a tricky manoeuvre and we highly recommend just exercising some restraint in the first place!
WHAT SHOULD I DO WITH MY ECO TUBE ONCE I'VE USED ALL THE SUPER DUPER LIP BALM? Our suppliers of the Eco Tube are very proud of their recycled paper board tube due to the fact that it is fully bio degradable. So we would say quite simply put it in with you green waste for compost or even better, bury it in your flower bed if you have one.
WHY NO SPF'S IN VALLEY MIST LIP BALM? Our original goal was to create a natural and chemical free lip balm and the use of SPF's is contrary to that goal. As a British made product for a British climate, those days where we need to reach for the spf's do not come around too often. For those days when we do need that extra protection, we suggest you stay hydrated, wear a hat and apply some sunscreen.
VALLEY MIST LIP BALM SEEMS MORE DENSE THAN THE USUAL LIP BALM, WILL IT HELP COMBAT CHAPPED LIPS? Jo, the creator of Valley Mist Lip Balms has always been prone to dry chapped lips. In making her first balm, Jo's aim was to create a lip balm both protective and rich. We are so pleased with the final selected blend we just had to share it. Because of the high percentages of cocoa seed butter and beeswax used in creating them, Valley Mist lip balms feel supportive in the healing process of dry chapped lips.
WHY ARE THE AROMAS IN VALLEY MIST LIP BALMS SO SUBTLE? As part of creating a natural and chemical free cosmetic product we haveavoided using
added flavours and strong perfumes. The aromas used to create our balms are simply essential and infusion oils, pure ingredients and botanical additions from the natural world. These essences of nature are known to have a potentially powerful effect on the senses, and in these days of often overwhelming excess we at Valley Mist have decided to adopt the less is more approach. Your lips are, after all, in pretty close proximity to your nostrils!
